No Power? Then Get Some - Victor Wrist Enhancer RECAP
As a doubles player, the Victor Wrist Enhancer 140 Racket (https://jobsatadm.com/collections/victor-badminton-rackets/products/victor-wrist-enhancer-140-badminton-training-racket?aff=24) has really helped improve my back and mid-court game.
How is training with the Victor Wrist Enhancer beneficial?
When playing doubles, it is very important to be able to generate power from the mid-court area to get the shuttle past the player in the front, and it is also crucial that once you set up your attack, that your smash is powerful enough to finish the rally. This Victor racket is much heavier than your average racket, so when doing drills with this racket it trains your wrist/hand strength so when you use your regular racket, your swing speed is much faster.
What are some drills that are effective while using the Wrist Enhancer?
Any drill that requires your racket speed to be high.
- Smash and drive drills
- Cutting off shots at the net
- Defense
- Hitting against a wall
- Swinging the racket off court as a warm-up or for wrist/forearm strengthening
