Double Russel Mesh

Quicker Footwork
YONEX new Synchro-Fit Insole construction allows a closer fit between shoe and foot, keeping power loss to an absolute minimum to achieve smoother movement and quicker footwork.Fig1. Compared to conventional footwear, the mid to heel area on the insole is lifted to provide a closer-fit between shoe and foot.Fig2. By holding the heel more firmly against the insole, the gap between shoe and foot is reduced, improving comfort and ensuring the foot does not slip forwards inside the shoe.

3D Power Carbon plate is inserted in the midsole, reducing weight and reinforcing your stability when landing.
Toe Assist Shape

TOKYO, Japan – Yonex Co., LTD is proud to announce the upcoming release of the new POWER CUSHION AERUS Z badminton shoes. The AERUS series are a lightweight series aimed at providing agile footwork for all players who like to stay light and on their toes.
The new AERUS Z achieves both lightness and stability. With each generation, the AERUS series prides itself on pushing the boundaries of lightness. This new 5th generation model is the lightest ever badminton shoe from Yonex, weighing in at just 240 grams per shoe*. These shoes are slimmed down by adopting a new sole made of Feather Light X, a material that is 12% lighter in weight, while generating more repulsion than the previous AERUS models. A key ingredient to stability is reliable grip. RADIAL BLADE SOLE is implemented to provide ultimate grip.
With a new seamless upper design, comprised of 100% recycled materials, the Durable Skin Light and Double Russel Mesh bring less weight with better fit, flexibility and breathability – Easy on your feet as well as the environment. With the POWER CUSHION+ and improved 3D Power Graphite Drive, the AERUS Z is not only light stable and eco-friendly, but also converts the impact of each step into repulsion and power for the next.
The new AERUS Z is now available in men’s, women’s and wide models, giving players more options. It is also accompanied by its affordable counterpart, AERUS X and junior model, AERUS JR. The POWER CUSHION AERUS X is designed as a comfortable lightweight model built with limited features. Those of which include the seamless upper design, POWER CUSHION and more. The new AERUS models are set to release on October 22nd.
The new AERUS Z will be sported on court by Olympic gold medalist, Carolina Marin (ESP), world No.2 men’s doubles, Marcus F. Gideon, World Tour Finals 2021 Champion, An Se Young (KOR) and 2022 Malaysian Open women’s singles champion, Ratchanok Intanon (THA).

FEATHER LIGHT X
FEATHER LIGHT X is Yonex’s lightest midsole material and is one of the key technologies in making the AERUS Z lighter while providing smooth, fluid footwork.
Seamless Upper
The upper is built with a single primary piece which is a combination of the Durable Skin Light, a strong and lightweight material, and the Double Raschel Mesh, a highly breathable fabric. The two materials are fused together using a vacuum-pressing method which enables the upper to be built with less material.
RADIAL BLADE SOLE
The grip pattern of the sole has been redesigned creating the RADIAL BLADE SOLE. By finely arranging a windmill shape that combines areas with large and small indentations, the weight of the shoe is dispersed, and the grip is improved by approximately 3%*. Resulting in a grip that supports quick dashes and sudden stops.
POWER CUSHION+
The AERUS Z features a specially shaped wedge of POWER CUSHION+ in the heel designed specifically to absorb shock associated with the footwork of badminton. By improving shock absorption, our POWER CUSHION+ technology transforms impact into energy. A 28%* increase in shock absorption and a 62%** increase in repulsion when compared to the standard EVA materials.
3D Power Graphite Sheet
The sole of the AERUS Z is built with Power Graphite Sheet, a carbon sheet that prevents twisting of the foot and improves stability during the most strenuous of movements. Working together with POWER CUSHION +, the absorbed impact power is converted into a propulsive force to help propel you into your next step.

The high elasticity shock absorbing material of ENERGYMAX has excellent durability, strength, and is retains it's shape well. It is used in footwear-related products to increase the overall support of the shoes. It reduces momentum towards the next direction.
