POWER CUSHION
Shock Absorption
The YONEX Power Cushion absorbs shock then reverses the impact energy for smooth transfer into the next movement.Compared with urethane, the YONEX Power Cushion construction provides 3 times more shock absorbing power. When dropped from 7m above a Power Cushion sheet, an egg will bounce back 4m without damage.
POWER CUSHION +

Double Russel Mesh
Double Raschel Mesh is an ultra fine mesh that is extremely lightweight and durable. It provides eight times more air-exchange for releasing moisture than ordinary mesh fabric.

Synchro-Fit Insole
Quicker FootworkYONEX new Synchro-Fit Insole construction allows a closer fit between shoe and foot, keeping power loss to an absolute minimum to achieve smoother movement and quicker footwork.Fig1. Compared to conventional footwear, the mid to heel area on the insole is lifted to provide a closer-fit between shoe and foot.Fig2. By holding the heel more firmly against the insole, the gap between shoe and foot is reduced, improving comfort and ensuring the foot does not slip forwards inside the shoe.

The AERUS series are a lightweight series aimed at providing agile footwork for all players who like to stay light and on their toes.The new AERUS Z achieves both lightness and stability. With each generation, the AERUS series prides itself on pushing the boundaries of lightness. This new 5th generation model is the lightest ever badminton shoe from Yonex, weighing in at just 240 grams per shoe*. These shoes are slimmed down by adopting a new sole made of Feather Light X, a material that is 12% lighter in weight, while generating more repulsion than the previous AERUS models. A key ingredient to stability is reliable grip. INNOVATIONFEATHER LIGHT XFEATHER LIGHT X is Yonex’s lightest midsole material and is one of the key technologies in making the AERUS Z lighter while providing smooth, fluid footwork.
Seamless UpperThe upper is built with a single primary piece which is a combination of the Durable Skin Light, a strong and lightweight material, and the Double Raschel Mesh, a highly breathable fabric. The two materials are fused together using a vacuum-pressing method which enables the upper to be built with less material.
RADIAL BLADE SOLE
The grip pattern of the sole has been redesigned creating the RADIAL BLADE SOLE. By finely arranging a windmill shape that combines areas with large and small indentations, the weight of the shoe is dispersed, and the grip is improved by approximately 3%*. Resulting in a grip that supports quick dashes and sudden stops.
POWER CUSHION+The AERUS Z features a specially shaped wedge of POWER CUSHION+ in the heel designed specifically to absorb shock associated with the footwork of badminton. By improving shock absorption, our POWER CUSHION+ technology transforms impact into energy. A 28%* increase in shock absorption and a 62%** increase in repulsion when compared to the standard EVA materials.
3D Power Graphite SheetThe sole of the AERUS Z is built with Power Graphite Sheet, a carbon sheet that prevents twisting of the foot and improves stability during the most strenuous of movements. Working together with POWER CUSHION +, the absorbed impact power is converted into a propulsive force to help propel you into your next step.
